India's first dedicated PC and console game publishing house, 1312 Interactive, has successfully closed its pre-seed funding round.

The company aims to discover, nurture, and publish India-made games for global audiences.

Founded by gaming experts Deepak Gurijala and Raviteja Mantena, the publishing house has attracted early support from notable industry figures. These include Akshat Rathee and Gautam Virk from Nodwin Gaming and Goodgame Investments, as well as Rajat Ojha from Gametronics.

"India has some of the most talented game developers, yet our presence in the global PC and console market has been limited. 1312 Interactive is here to change that," said the founders in a joint statement.

The company's mission extends beyond simply publishing games. According to Gurijala and Mantena, they want to ensure studios receive proper support to create world-class titles. While focused primarily on Indian developers, the publishing house is also looking at potential partnerships in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, and South American markets.

Three games are already lined up for release in 2025. These include "Winds of Arcana" from Brewed Games, "Palm Sugar: A Village Story" developed by Mono Tusk Studios, and "Souls of Bombarika" from Street Lamp Games. The company plans to release six to eight titles annually going forward.

Notably, Winds of Arcana and Palm Sugar: A Village Story were chosen among the 20 games at Bharat Tech Triumph Program to showcase Indian gaming on the international stage.

This new publishing house could help bridge the gap between India's talented developers and the global gaming audience. By focusing on PC and console games rather than mobile gaming (which has dominated the Indian market), 1312 Interactive is targeting a different segment with higher revenue potential per user.
