The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Women’s Invitational is returning in 2025 as part of the highly anticipated Esports World Cup (EWC) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from July 15 to July 19, 2025.


In the 2024 edition, Smart Omega Empress shocked the world by dethroning Team Vitality, who had held a three-year win streak, with a clean 3-0 Grand Finals victory.


The 2025 Women’s Invitational will see 16 top teams from around the world gather once again in Riyadh to battle for prestige, legacy, and a massive cash prize.


What’s the Prize Pool for the 2025 MLBB Women’s Invitational?

The 2025 MLBB Women’s Invitational boasts a $550,000 USD prize pool, with an additional $10,000 USD MVP award for the standout individual performer. This marks one of the largest prize offerings in women’s mobile esports history.


2025 MLBB Women’s Invitational: Format Explained

The tournament will unfold in three main phases:


Wildcard Round Robin

An opening eight-team round robin will determine the final set of 16 teams moving on to the main event.


Group Stage (July 15–17, 2025):

  • 16 teams are divided into four groups of four teams each.

  • Matches are played in a double-elimination format.

  • All matches are best-of-two (Bo2).

  • The top two teams from each group (eight total) advance to the Playoffs.

  • The bottom two teams from each group are eliminated.


Playoffs (July 18–19, 2025):

  • An eight-team single-elimination bracket.

  • Quarterfinals and Semifinals are best-of-three (Bo3).

  • The Grand Finals are best-of-seven (Bo7).

  • The winner is crowned the MWI 2025 champion and claims the largest share of the $550,000 prize pool.

Teams qualify through global regional events, including:

  • MWI 2025 LATAM Qualifiers

  • Queen Legends Season 1

  • MWI 2025 MYSG Qualifier

  • Carry1st Africa Cup

  • BOG Season 1

  • Athena League

  • Lady MVP Season 6

  • MWI Mongolia

  • MWI NA Qualifier

  • MWI China Qualifier

  • MWI Mekong Qualifier

  • MWI Türkiye Qualifier


As of now, 11 teams have already secured spots:

  1. Smart Omega Empress (Defending champions from 2024).

  2. Team Vitality (Indonesia).

  3. Falcons Vega MENA (Middle East and North Africa).

  4. Gaimin Gladiators.

  5. Victory Song Gamers (Eastern Europe and Central Asia, with Filipino imports).

  6. CFU Serendipity (Cambodia).

  7. Arcane Ladies (signed by Natus Vincere MY on May 14, 2025).

  8. Waow GG Esports (qualified on May 24, 2025).

  9. FUT Esports (qualified on May 30, 2025).

  10. ONIC Pertiwi (Indonesia, qualified on June 3, 2025).

  11. DreamMax Girls (qualified on April 26, 2025)


Additional teams will qualify through ongoing regional tournaments, with five more slots to be filled by July 2025.
