Asmongold Announces Plans to Start Streaming on X Platform

Asmongold, one of Twitch’s biggest personalities, has officially announced he’s diving into multistreaming, including on X (formerly Twitter). After weeks of teasing the idea, the popular streamer confirmed that things kick off Monday, June 2—and it could mark a major shift in the livestreaming world.

From Twitch to X: Here’s What’s Happening

With 3.6 million Twitch followers and almost similar on YouTube, Asmongold’s no stranger to drawing a massive crowd. Lately, he’s been pretty open about wanting to stream on X, even sharing details about conversations with X employees—and Elon Musk himself.

During a May 27 stream, Asmon told his viewers he’d be down to stream 20 hours a week on X—for free—just to help improve the platform’s livestreaming features. Musk jumped in with a simple reply on X:

“Ok, let’s give it a shot.”

Then, on May 31, Asmongold made it official:

“I won’t be multistreaming tomorrow—but I’ll be doing it very soon after”.

Now, the launch date is locked in: June 2, and Asmon promises more details during the stream itself.

What’s the Game Plan?

Asmongold also gave a peek into his approach. He mentioned a “three-stage or four-stage plan” for how he wants to tackle multistreaming—focusing on improving the platform, teaming up with other streamers, and possibly working out some financial side of things with X.

“I have in my mind a three-stage or four-stage plan on how I would approach solving it."

He even joked about being the “streaming Moses”:

“I don’t want to be the streaming Moses—he never made it to the Promised Land… he saw it, but never got there.”

It was lighthearted, sure—but you could tell he’s serious about this move. It’s not just about growing his own reach; he sees this as a way to help build something better for streamers across the board.

Why Now?

Multistreaming—broadcasting on Twitch, YouTube, Kick, X, and others at the same time—is becoming a go-to move now that exclusivity deals are falling out of favor. Asmon’s timing reflects that shift, and it might just help give X a much-needed boost in a space still ruled by Twitch.

“This isn’t about drawing in viewers today—it’s about building something for streamers tomorrow.”

We don’t yet know how much time Asmongold will split between X, Twitch, or YouTube—but one thing’s clear: Multistreaming begins June 2, 2025.
