Ball x Pit, the latest indie hit from developer Kenny Sun and publisher Devolver Digital, has already crossed a major milestone. In just five days, the game has sold over 300,000 copies across all platforms. This comes after an impressive launch day where it managed to sell 100,000 copies within the first 24 hours.

For those who haven’t tried it yet, Ball x Pit is described as a “brick‑breaking, ball‑fusing, base‑building survival roguelite.” In practice, that means you’ll be smashing through waves of enemies with ricocheting balls while collecting resources to expand your homestead, recruit heroes, and keep the chaos under control. It’s a quirky mix of mechanics, but clearly one that’s resonating with players.
On Steam, the game currently holds an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating, with 95% of nearly 2,000 reviews giving it a thumbs up.
Kenny Sun himself admitted he was taken aback by the response. In a social media post shortly after launch, he wrote: “Been too overwhelmed for a formal announcement post but BALL x PIT came out yesterday and I’m stunned by the response! I’m very grateful to everyone who helped make it possible.”
The game isn’t limited to PC either. You can pick it up on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and if you’re subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass, it’s included there as well.
