Krafton India Esports has announced the complete format for the upcoming Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2025, which starts on May 22nd.


The tournament will feature 96 professional teams (invite only) competing through multiple rounds until the Grand Finals in New Delhi from July 4th to 6th.


The tournament structure shows Krafton's focus on building a strong competitive system where teams have multiple chances to advance.


According to the announcement, the prize pool starts at ₹2 crore but could potentially double to ₹4 crore through a special community event.


BMPS 2025 Tournament Format Breakdown


  1. Round 1 (May 22 – June 3, 2025):

    • 96 teams divided into 6 groups of 16 teams each.

    • 12 match days, with each group playing 3 matches per day (total of 12 matches per team).

    • Groups rotate over the 12 days, with reshuffling every 3 days.

    • Qualification:

      • Top 8 teams from overall standings advance directly to Semi-Finals Week 1.

      • 9th to 16th ranked teams (8 teams) qualify for Round 3.

      • 17th to 80th ranked teams (64 teams) proceed to Round 2.

      • Bottom 16 teams are eliminated.

  2. Round 2 (June 5 – June 8, 2025):

    • 64 teams (from Round 1) split into 4 groups of 16 teams each.

    • Each team plays 6 matches over 4 days.

    • Qualification:

      • Top 40 teams from overall standings advance to Round 3.

      • Bottom 24 teams are eliminated.

  3. Round 3 (June 10 – June 13, 2025):

    • 48 teams (8 from Round 1 + 40 from Round 2) divided into 3 groups of 16 teams each.

    • Each team plays 8 matches over 4 days, with groups reshuffled after 2 days.

    • Qualification:

      • Top 24 teams from overall standings qualify for Semi-Finals Week 1.

      • Bottom 24 teams are eliminated.

  4. Semi-Finals Week 1 (June 15 – June 18, 2025):

    • 32 teams (8 from Round 1 + 24 from Round 3) seeded into 3 groups of 10-11 teams each.

    • Each team plays 12 matches in a round-robin format over 4 days.

    • Qualification:

      • Top 8 teams from overall standings qualify directly for the Grand Finals.

      • Bottom 24 teams proceed to Semi-Finals Week 2.

  5. Semi-Finals Week 2 (June 19 – June 22, 2025):

    • 24 teams from Semi-Finals Week 1 divided into 3 groups of 8 teams each.

    • Each team plays 16 matches in a double round-robin format over 4 days.

    • Qualification:

      • Top 8 teams from overall standings qualify for the Grand Finals.

      • Bottom 16 teams are eliminated.

  6. Grand Finals (July 4 – July 6, 2025):

    • 16 teams (8 from Semi-Finals Week 1 + 8 from Semi-Finals Week 2).

    • Played as a LAN event in New Delhi.

    • Teams compete in 18 matches over 3 days.

    • The team with the highest points wins the BMPS 2025 title.

"Discovery Island" Feature Could Double Prize Pool


Krafton has introduced an innovative community-driven feature called "Discovery Island" that runs from May 17th to July 1st.


This in-game event allows regular BGMI players to earn Exploration Points simply by playing Classic Mode matches.


The prize pool will increase incrementally as the community collectively reaches six different milestones, potentially doubling from ₹2 crore to ₹4 crore. Players participating in the event can also earn up to 30 exclusive in-game rewards, including a permanent BGMI Esports Outfit.


By playing regular matches, BGMI enthusiasts can directly contribute to making the BMPS event more rewarding for professional players.
