The release date for the much-awaited BGMI 3.9 Update has officially been confirmed, and it’s bringing a massive content drop for fans across the board.
Set to go live on July 16, 2025, the update introduces an exciting Transformers-themed mode, fresh gameplay changes, and major upgrades to fan-favorite features like Metro Royale, Ranked Arena, and more.
Here’s a full breakdown of the BGMI 3.9 patch.
Transformers Arrive in BGMI
One of the biggest highlights of Version 3.9 is the BGMI x Transformers collaboration.
Players will be able to summon legendary characters like Optimus Prime and Megatron into their matches by using a Spacebridge Beacon found on the map. Once deployed, this beacon connects to Cybertron and calls in Transformers or Cybertronian supply crates.
Each Transformer brings its own unique gameplay style:
Optimus Prime transforms from truck to robot, wielding a powerful thermal axe.
Ultimate Skill: Charge Slam — a high-speed dash that damages enemies and slows Megatron.
Megatron, on the other hand, switches from tank to robot, using a cannon for ranged attacks.
Ultimate Skill: Triple Fusion Blast — pushes him back for distance and slows Optimus Prime.
To activate these ultimates, players need to collect Energon scattered throughout the map. And when the two clash, a Nemesis Showdown kicks off in a special duel zone in Erangel, where only one bot will walk out victorious.
Outside of combat, players can align with Team Optimus Prime or Team Megatron, complete missions, and unlock exclusive themed rewards — including animated exits and cosmetic upgrades.
Other Major Additions in BGMI 3.9
According to details shared by Level Infinite, the update includes a range of new features already introduced in PUBG Mobile globally, including:
The Metro Royale mode now features:
Zombie Uprising, with tiered monsters and elite bosses
Collectible energy orbs, genetic codes, and hatchable boss creatures
New loot options like golden melee weapons and Portable Experiment Servers
Meanwhile, Neon Outpost introduces cyberpunk-themed zones across Erangel, Livik, and Sanhok, each offering interactive areas like:
Boxing Ring – unlocks after a countdown
Black Market – sells futuristic items including interstellar burgers
Fight Club – a close-combat melee arena with respawns—no firearms here
Update is also bringing a slick new graphics option to the table — say hello to Super Smooth.
So far, we’ve had six: Smooth, Balanced, HD, HDR, Ultra HD, and Extreme HDR.
Super Smooth is for an even cleaner, lag-free experience.
The update introduces a new hoverboard that lets players glide mid-air in style, with a double jump.
Whether you're into Transformers battles, ranked competition, or casual fun with friends, there's something to dive into starting July 16.
