StarLadder announced Monday it will organize the second Counter-Strike 2 Major of 2025 in Budapest, Hungary.
The tournament will run from November 24 to December 14, bringing together the world's top 32 CS2 teams to compete for shares of a $1.25 million USD prize pool.
The playoffs will take place at Budapest's MVM Dome from December 11-14, which can seat up to 20,000 spectators.
Tickets for all stages of the tournament are already available for purchase here.
"Hosting another Major is an incredible honor, and we're determined to make it unforgettable," said Roman Romantsov, CEO of StarLadder. He emphasized that Budapest provides an ideal location to elevate the CS2 live event experience for both in-person and online viewers (Thanks TEA).
This tournament represents StarLadder's first major undertaking since being acquired by NODWIN Gaming earlier this year. India-based esports and gaming festival company purchased this Ukraine-based tournament organizer in January for an initial sum of $5.5 million USD.
Despite the ownership change, StarLadder's organizational structure remains largely intact. Romantsov continues to lead the company alongside the existing staff members, all of whom were retained following the NODWIN acquisition.
More information about the complete schedules, teams, format, and prize distributions will be revealed as the tournament draws closer, so stay tuned.
