CD Projekt has released its financial report for the first half of 2025, showing a revenue increase but a drop in profit.
The company continues to rely heavily on Cyberpunk 2077 and its expansion Phantom Liberty, while also investing heavily in upcoming projects like The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2.
Key Highlights from CD Projekt’s H1 2025 Report
Revenue Growth
Sales revenue rose by 4.3% year-on-year, reaching PLN 443 million ($121 million).
Growth was fueled mainly by strong sales of Cyberpunk 2077, its expansion Phantom Liberty, and steady demand for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Profit Decline
Net profit dropped by 7.7%, from PLN 170 million ($46.5 million) in H1 2024 to PLN 155 million ($42.4 million) in H1 2025.
Rising development costs contributed to the profit dip.
Game Sales Milestones
The Witcher 3 surpassed 60 million copies sold worldwide, 10 years after launch.
Phantom Liberty sold 10 million copies within two years.
According to CFO Piotr Nielubowicz, revenue remains “dominated by Cyberpunk 2077 together with its Phantom Liberty expansion.”
Switch 2 Boost
Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty launched on the Nintendo Switch 2 with a full 64GB physical cartridge instead of a key card.
75.4% of Switch 2 sales were physical editions, with only 24.6% digital.
VP of business development Jan Rosner explained that physical editions give players a “plug and play experience” and remain highly valued in Nintendo’s market.
Regional Revenue Breakdown
66.5% from North America
21% from Europe (excluding Poland)
7.1% from Asia
3.7% from Poland (domestic market)
