Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Reaches 2 Million Copies Sold in Just 12 Days

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has hit a major sales milestone, selling 2 million copies in only 12 days after its release.

This marks a significant jump from the 1 million copies sold in its first three days.

Despite being available through Xbox Game Pass, players are still purchasing the game in large numbers.

"We've watched in awe as so many of you began your journey," shared the development team on social media. "Feeling every step, every emotion, every revelation alongside you."

When Bethesda released The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered at the same time as Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, many industry watchers expected fierce competition between the titles. However, the market proved big enough for both games to find success.

The success of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has even caught the attention of French President Macron, who praised the French development team Sandfall Interactive for their achievement.

Currently, the game holds a 92 Metacritic score, which is the highest for any game in 2025. The user score stands at 9.7, with many claiming it's the highest for any game, but we do not confirm this.
