Crash Bandicoot may finally be getting his own animated series on Netflix, with reports suggesting WildBrain Studios is leading the project.

The beloved orange marsupial, who first spun onto the scene in 1996, could soon be making the leap from video games to a full-fledged animated show. According to What’s On Netflix, the streaming giant is quietly developing a Crash Bandicoot series in collaboration with WildBrain Studios, the same team behind Sonic Prime.
This isn’t the first time Crash has flirted with television. Back in 1997, Universal Animation Studios created animated sequences for the original game in hopes of launching a TV series, though it never materialized. More recently, Crash made cameo appearances in Skylanders Academy on Netflix, voiced by Eric Rogers and later Rhys Darby. But if this new project goes ahead, it would mark the first time Crash headlines his own series.
The timing feels right. Crash has enjoyed a revival in recent years with titles like Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time! and Crash Team Rumble. The 2017 release of the N. Sane Trilogy also reignited interest in the franchise, proving there’s still a strong audience for the character. With Netflix already investing heavily in video game adaptations like Arcane, Castlevania, and the upcoming Minecraft series, Crash seems like a natural fit.
WildBrain’s involvement also adds credibility. The studio has a track record with animated hits such as Carmen Sandiego, Johnny Test, and of course Sonic Prime, which ran for three seasons.
At this stage, there are no details on casting, storylines, or release dates.
