CrossFire has long been one of Asia’s most iconic PC FPS titles, dominating regions like China, Korea, and Vietnam with its tactical gameplay and massive player base. Its first mobile adaptation, CrossFire Mobile (known as CrossFire: Legends in some markets), debuted in China back in December 2015. Despite expanding to Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, and even a global server in 2018, most international servers eventually shut down, leaving only China active.
Now, after years of fan demand, the franchise is making a comeback. Co-developed by Tencent Games and licensed by Smilegate, CrossFire: Legends officially relaunches today, December 16, 2025, across Southeast Asia.

Release Time and Availability
The game is available on Android and iOS in Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore.
Servers go live at 10:00 AM PHT (9:00 AM WIB/ICT/MYT), with pre-download already open.
This revival follows a series of tests earlier in 2025: an alpha in June (Philippines) and a closed beta from July to August across multiple SEA countries. Pre-registration opened in October, offering exclusive rewards like weapons and characters to early adopters.
Launch events include massive reward drops, pre-registration perks, and qualifiers for upcoming championships (Dec 20). Players can expect a steady stream of seasonal updates and localized content tailored to SEA audiences.
Is it Free to Play
Yes, CrossFire: Legends is free-to-play, with optional in-game purchases for cosmetics, weapons, and event passes.
Gameplay and Features
At its core, CrossFire: Legends preserves the classic clash between Black List (terrorists) and Global Risk (mercenaries). Matches emphasize teamwork, precision shooting, and quick reflexes, all adapted for mobile-friendly controls.
Confirmed Modes at Launch:
Search & Destroy (C4 Bomb Defusal): 5v5 tactical mode where one mistake can cost the round.
Team Deathmatch: Fast respawns and nonstop firefights for pure chaos.
Mutation/Zombie Mode: Survival against unpredictable mutant waves, with friends turning into foes mid-match.
Hero Mode: Special characters with unique abilities (details to be revealed post-launch).
Key Features:
Weapons: Legendary guns like AK47-Beast, M4A1-Iron Beast, and AWM-Infernal Dragon.
Characters: Fan favorites such as Fox Howl and Sicaros, complete with skins and abilities.
Performance: Smooth 60 FPS combat, optimized for a wide range of mobile devices.
Customization: Adjustable controls, sensitivity, and layouts for personalized play.
Looking Ahead
Level Infinite and Tencent are positioning CrossFire: Legends as more than just a revival—it’s a full-scale reintroduction of a legendary FPS to mobile audiences. With smoother controls, enhanced visuals, and a wealth of returning content, the game aims to recapture nostalgia while delivering a modern competitive experience.
