Diablo 4's Berserk Crossover: Everything You Need to Know About the May 6 Event

Diablo 4 Berserk Crossover

Blizzard has revealed all the details about its upcoming Diablo 4 crossover with Berserk, the popular dark fantasy manga series.

The collaboration will bring special armor sets, items, and gameplay elements to both Diablo 4 and Diablo Immortal beginning May 6, 2025.

The crossover event will run throughout Season 8 of Diablo 4, giving players plenty of time to collect special items and purchase limited-time cosmetics.

During the event, players can earn "Behelits" - described as "ovoid creatures" that have a chance to drop when defeating elite enemies in the game.

These Behelits serve as a special currency that can be exchanged at Berserk Reliquaries for themed cosmetic items. Players who collect all the available items will also receive a special reward called the "Od of the Berserker Emblem."

According to Blizzard's announcement, the free cosmetic items available through gameplay include:

  • Hawks Destiny Back Trophy

  • Skull Knight's Heraldry Mount Armor

  • Brand of Sacrifice Marking

For players willing to spend real money, the in-game shop will feature premium Berserk-themed armor sets representing major characters from the manga. These include the Barbarian's Berserker Armor (based on Guts' iconic armor), the Hawk of Light and Struggler armor sets for the Rogue (based on Griffith and Guts), and the Skull Knight armor for Necromancers.

Additionally, pet and mount bundles will be available for purchase. The pet bundle features "The Schnoz," a character from the manga, while the mount bundle includes the "Warhorse of the Hawk" mount armor. Blizzard has not yet announced pricing for these premium items.

Players can also earn a Skull Behelit Mount Trophy through Twitch Drops by watching and supporting streamers during the event period.

The collaboration isn't limited to Diablo 4. Diablo Immortal, the mobile entry in the franchise, will have its own Berserk event called "Struggler's Path." This event starts slightly earlier on May 1 and runs until May 30, 2025.

The mobile version's event will feature a special boss fight against Nosferatu Zodd from the Berserk series, along with a harder version that can be unlocked using the Crimson Behelit Gem. A horde-mode event called "Survivor's Bane" will recreate the infamous "Eclipse" event from the manga.

This crossover makes perfect sense as both franchises share similar dark fantasy themes featuring demons and brutal environments. Berserk, created by the late Kentaro Miura in 1989, has influenced countless video games, including FromSoftware titles like Dark Souls and Elden Ring.

This collaboration comes as part of Blizzard's long-term plan for Diablo 4, which reportedly includes a 10-year roadmap of upcoming content. The game has continued to evolve since its move to a live service model, with regular seasons, battle passes, and limited-time events. The Berserk event represents one of the game's first major crossovers with another franchise.

Season 8, titled "Belial's Return," appears to be making significant changes to the core experience beyond just this crossover. Blizzard is reportedly planning to nerf some overpowered character builds and overhaul the battle pass system to allow players more freedom in claiming rewards.

According to reports, Blizzard is shifting focus to prioritize permanent improvements for Diablo 4 instead of seasonal content that disappears after each season ends. This approach aims to create more lasting value for players investing time in the game.
