During the ongoing press tour for Fantastic Four: First Steps, the cast got a surprise look at their Marvel Rivals in-game counterparts.
Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, who are leading the MCU’s new take on Marvel’s First Family, were shown a lineup of character skins during a recent segment with streamer Loserfruit.
The moment that drew the biggest reaction? The now-iconic Malice skin for Invisible Woman.
Originally released in January, the Malice skin became an instant hit among Marvel Rivals players, known for its bold design and edgy vibe.
It didn’t take long for the clip of the cast's reactions to go viral on X (formerly Twitter). Pedro Pascal, in particular, looked hilariously stunned at the skin’s styling, while Vanessa Kirby—who plays Sue Storm—was quick to play along.
“Thank you. This is my favorite bit of her as well,” Kirby joked, before teasing her co-stars with a cheeky, “Guys, watch out for the sequel, you better watch it.” Pascal followed up with, “Costume designer, take note,” earning a laugh from the group.
In her previous appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Kirby had already expressed interest in exploring Sue Storm’s darker alter ego, Malice, in future MCU storylines.
Though Marvel hasn’t confirmed anything regarding Malice’s inclusion in the cinematic universe, moments like this highlight how deeply interconnected the MCU and its gaming counterparts have become.
For now, Fantastic Four: First Steps is in the theatres, marking the first appearance of the team in the MCU since Disney’s acquisition of Fox in 2019. The film got good reviews and, as per Deadline, the Matt Shankman-directed F4:FS has grossed an estimated $106.2 million worldwide through Friday.
