Florida’s Attorney General James Uthmeier has filed new lawsuits aimed at online platforms he says are failing to follow the state’s age verification law. This time, the focus isn’t just on traditional adult video sites; it’s also on a platform distributing pornographic video game content.
Two Lawsuits, Three Websites in the Crosshairs
According to filings in Florida’s 12th Judicial Circuit, Uthmeier has launched two separate legal actions. The first target is Lustyheroes.com, an online pornographic video game published and distributed by Cyprus‑based Gethins Limited. It offers interactive, story‑driven titles with sexual content, often in fantasy or anime‑inspired styles.
The second lawsuit is aimed at Aylo, the parent company of Pornhub, but specifically focuses on two of its other properties: Nutaku.net and SpiceVids.com.
Nutaku is one of the largest adult gaming platforms in the world, launched in 2015. It hosts hundreds of adult games, both downloadable and browser‑based, across genres like RPGs, strategy, and visual novels. SpiceVids, however, is an adult video streaming site that focuses on explicit content rather than games.
Uthmeier alleges that all three sites failed to verify that visitors from Florida are at least 18 years old, as required by HB 3, a state law that took effect in January 2025. This legislation mandates that adult content platforms implement strict age verification for Florida users.
A Broader Crackdown on Adult Platforms
If you’ve been following Florida’s recent legal moves, you’ll know this isn’t the first time Uthmeier has gone after major adult sites. Just last month, he filed a similar case against XVideos, the world’s second‑most visited porn site, for allegedly ignoring the same law.
In a press release, Uthmeier stated, “Florida is committed to being the best place to raise children. We passed strong legislation to keep kids from being exposed to harmful and toxic material, and instead of following it, these platforms ignored it.”
Company Responses and Legal Pushback
Aylo has pushed back against the allegations. In a statement, the company said SpiceVids has implemented age verification measures consistent with Florida’s requirements since January 1. As for Nutaku, Aylo claims the platform operates within the law because games containing sexually explicit content make up “less than the statutory threshold.”
“We intend to vigorously defend against these allegations in court,” Aylo said. “These platforms are committed to ongoing compliance with applicable state laws. We look forward to presenting the facts through the appropriate legal process.”
