SuperGaming has introduced a major gameplay update to Indus Battle Royale by launching the all-new Abilities system, aiming to bring more tactical variety and customization to its fast-paced matches.
With Abilities now part of the core gameplay, players can go beyond the traditional focus on weapons, loot, and kills. Instead, they can craft their own version of the perfect Mythwalker by selecting abilities that complement their strategy—whether that's aggressive rushing, tactical support, or high-mobility scouting.
Each player gets to choose from a set of active abilities linked to gameplay archetypes such as Intel, Support, Mobility, and Assault.
At launch, four abilities are available:
Hunter’s Instinct (Intel): Grants infrared vision within a 150-meter radius for 20 seconds to help track enemies. Cooldown: 80s.
Shield Dome (Support): Deploys a 400 HP bullet-blocking barrier that blocks enemy fire but allows allies to shoot through. Ideal for revives and cover. Cooldown: 75s.
Speed Run (Mobility): A high-speed dash in any direction that damages enemies on impact—useful for escaping or closing gaps. Cooldown: 85s.
Deadeye (Assault): Equips a powerful sidearm for 25 seconds, capable of 360 headshot and 180 body damage. Headshot kills refund bullets. Cooldown: 80s.

According to Roby John, CEO and Co-Founder of SuperGaming, “Abilities are a natural step forward. They bring new depth to each encounter while keeping Indus fast, tactical, and accessible. This is part of our ongoing effort to make Indus deeper, more strategic, and above all, make players feel more powerful as they craft their own hero—without losing what makes it fun.”
More Than Just Abilities: New Features Join the Update
Alongside the launch of Abilities, Indus has also added Anti-Gravity Spires to the map. These floating stone pillars are scattered across the map and allow players to launch into the air and reposition via a controlled redeployment dive.
Also joining the roster of features is the long-awaited Custom Rooms option, letting players set up their own private matches and tournaments. Players can tweak everything—from game mode (Battle Royale or Team Deathmatch), maps, and squad sizes to enabling/disabling options like aim assist and auto-fire. There’s even support for spectator slots, opening the door for community-run events and friendly scrims.
Indus Battle Royale is India’s homegrown answer to the genre, developed by Pune-based SuperGaming. It blends futuristic gameplay with rich Indian cultural elements, creating a unique "Indo-Futuristic" experience that sets it apart from global titles like PUBG or Apex Legends.
The game, already been downloaded over 9 million times across Google Play and the App Store, and it continues to evolve with updates based on player feedback and behavior.
