    • Starts July 21 with online qualifiers,

    • LAN finale in Delhi from August 8–10

    • Prize pool: ₹1 crore

iQOO, a major smartphone brand, has officially announced its biggest esports initiative yet — the iQOO Battlegrounds Series, a BGMI tournament featuring a substantial prize pool of INR 1 Crore.

The tournament, executed in collaboration with NODWIN Gaming and Trinity Gaming, will kick off next week on Monday, July 21, with qualifiers, leading up to a high-stakes LAN finale in Delhi from August 8 to 10.

A total of 32 teams will compete, including 31 directly invited teams and one winner from the iQOO Community Cup, a qualifier designed to give everyday players a shot at the big stage.

The tournament will follow a hybrid format, with online qualifiers leading up to the grand offline finale. While the exact venue hasn’t been disclosed yet, the dates are locked, and fans can expect some serious action.

For iQOO, this move isn’t a one-off. Since launching in 2020, the brand has made consistent efforts to support the gaming community — and this event signals a much bigger play in the esports ecosystem.

Speaking about the launch, Nipun Marya, CEO of iQOO, emphasized the brand’s long-term focus on the gaming ecosystem. “The iQOO Battlegrounds Series isn’t just another tournament—it’s our flagship IP. We’re combining technology, performance, and competitive spirit to give India’s top gaming talent a stage they deserve,” he said. According to Marya, this is just the beginning of how iQOO plans to integrate more deeply with the esports community.

Akshat Rathee, Co-founder and Managing Director at NODWIN Gaming, shared his enthusiasm: “This collaboration goes beyond just a tournament. It’s a reflection of our joint ambition to create a sustainable and high-impact esports ecosystem in India. The scale of this event is a testament to that shared vision.”

Adding to the excitement, Abhishek Aggarwal, Co-founder of Trinity Gaming, stated, “The iQOO Battlegrounds Series is a statement of intent. It brings performance, creators, and competition under one banner. We’re thrilled to partner on this initiative.”

Interestingly, visuals from the official announcement suggest that players might compete using the latest iQOO Neo 10, although this hasn't been formally confirmed. It would make sense though — iQOO has long positioned its Flagship, Neo, and Z Series smartphones as gamer-focused devices, designed with insights from actual esports professionals

They’ve also backed BGMI rosters like S8UL Esports and even served as the title sponsor for Indian teams at global events like the Esports World Cup 2025.
