iQOO SouL Crowned BMSD 2026 Champions After Dramatic Comeback, Qualify for PMGC
iQOO SouL were crowned champions of the Battlegrounds Mobile India Showdown (BMSD) 2026 Grand Finals at Savaaya Convention, Gandipet, Hyderabad.
The Nakul-led squad finished the 18-match LAN finals with 155 points, claiming the ₹30 lakh top prize from the ₹1 crore pool and securing India’s direct qualification slot for the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2026 in Turkey.
The victory marked SouL’s second major official BGMI title of the 2026 season, following their earlier triumph at the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS). It also ends a multi-year wait for the organization to return to the global stage at PMGC.
The roster consisted of captain NakuL (Nakul Sharma), Goblin (Harsh Paudwal), Jokerr (Khush Singh), LEGIT (Yash Choudhary), and Thunder (Aaryaman Seth).
The Comeback
SouL entered the final day of the Grand Finals in fourth place, trailing early leader iQOO 8Bit by 28 points. After Match 12, 8Bit sat on 116 points, setting the Smash Point threshold at 126. Under the Smash Rule, any team that crossed this line and then secured a Winner Winner Chicken Dinner (WWCD) in a subsequent match would claim the title immediately.
SouL responded with a dominant final day, scoring 67 points across the remaining six matches. A pivotal 13-elimination WWCD on Erangel in Match 14 pushed them past the Smash Point. Although no team above the threshold ultimately secured a match win to clinch the title early (Version1 x Blue Army took the final match), SouL’s consistent performance sealed the championship on total points. They finished 14 points clear of runners-up Gladiators Esports and 15 points ahead of third-placed 8Bit. SouL also recorded the highest elimination points in the lobby (103).
