Popular streamer IShowSpeed is diving into the esports scene with his very own Fortnite tournament, and he’s bringing along 100 content creators for the ride.
The event, which features a massive $100,000 prize pool, was announced during his July 7, 2025, live stream.
During the stream, Speed called up fellow creator Nicholas ‘Jynxzi’ Stewart to make things official. Jynxzi didn’t hold back, calling it a “gigantic Fortnite tournament” and confirming the 100-player lineup. Speed chimed in with a quick “stay tuned,” suggesting that more details—like dates and participants—are still under wraps but coming soon.
Now, while IShowSpeed is no stranger to wild streams and globe-trotting IRL content, this move marks his first real step into esports event organizing. Since starting out back in 2016, Speed has built up a huge following with over 41.6 million YouTube subscribers and more than 600,000 followers on Twitch. This new tournament seems to be his way of blending gaming and entertainment on a much bigger stage.
On the official side, Fortnite esports is already heating up with the third FNCS Major of the year in progress. After a couple of weeks of qualifiers, group stages are set to kick off on July 20. From there, it all leads to the Major 3 Grand Finals on August 2–3, and then the top teams head to the FNCS Global Championship in Lyon, France, from September 6–9. So, yeah, Fortnite’s having a pretty stacked summer.
Meanwhile, IShowSpeed is also juggling his second IRL tour across Europe, this time focusing more on Eastern countries. His 2024 tour took him through places like the Netherlands, Germany, and Sweden. On top of all that, he’s started multistreaming on both YouTube and Twitch, which not only expands his reach but also makes collaborating with other streamers way easier.
With 100 creators involved and Speed at the helm, this Fortnite event could be a wild one. We'll share more details soon, and we're keeping an eye on these things.
