Jack Black is officially back in action for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4, reprising his role as the quirky and iconic Officer Dick. But this time, he’s doubling down.
Alongside his familiar character, Black will also portray “Constable Richard,” a brand-new English version of the same law-enforcing skater, adding a fresh layer of humor to the upcoming release.
Originally introduced as a secret character in the 1999 Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, Officer Dick has since become a fan favorite, showing up in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 and 3, and making a strong comeback in the 2020 remake of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, where Jack Black first lent his voice and energy to the character.
Now, with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 set to launch on July 11, 2025, across PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch, fans are once again getting a dose of Black’s offbeat charm. His English counterpart, Constable Richard, shares the same over-the-top skating antics—with an added British flair and, yes, a surprisingly spot-on English accent from Black himself.
Game director Kurt Tillmanns told Variety that the team was excited to bring Black back. “We really loved Jack Black’s inclusion in the previous iteration. Officer Dick was this hilarious character, especially on the school maps where he’d try to chase you off the grounds. We wanted to expand on that and add a little more backstory and flavor.”
According to reports, the upcoming title will also introduce gameplay updates, particularly to how Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4 content is handled in the remaster. While exact details haven’t been fully outlined, fans can expect modern enhancements alongside the nostalgic content.
There are also rumors about a SpongeBob Collaboration—SpongeBob, Patrick, or even Squidward—as fully playable characters for the first for the franchise. However, the dev has not confirmed it yet.
