Konami has revealed its plans for a brand-new eFootball campaign in India, set to run from August 2025 through October 2025.
As part of this initiative, two major tournaments—The Independence Day Cup and The Diwali Cup—will headline the competitive action, with plenty of extra content and rewards to keep fans engaged throughout the campaign.
In addition to the tournaments, Konami will also host a special meet-and-greet event in Mumbai this December. This gathering will feature Indian cricket star KL Rahul, former Indian football captain Sunil Chhetri, actor Ahan Shetty, popular content creator Focused Indian, and cricketer Nitish Kumar Reddy. According to Konami, fans will get a rare chance to interact with these personalities in person.
The eFootball India Discord server will serve as the central hub for all campaign activities, acting as a go-to space for updates, discussions, and community engagement. Players can expect user-generated content challenges, quizzes, scrims, and tournaments, with winners receiving cash prizes and exclusive rewards. Those who excel in the tournaments or remain the most active on Discord will secure an invitation to the Mumbai meet-and-greet.
General Producer at Konami, Junichi Taya, emphasized that India remains one of the studio’s most vibrant gaming communities. He stated that this campaign is designed to celebrate Indian gaming culture by blending festivals, football, and fandom. Taya also reiterated Konami’s strong commitment to the Indian player base.
Registration for the tournaments is now open via the eFootball India Discord server. This announcement follows Konami’s recent Holi campaign, which featured Indian football team captain Gurpreet Singh Sandhu and gaming creator Jonathan Gaming.
