Gameplay Overview
Let It Die: Inferno keeps its roguelite identity intact but pushes it further with:
Fast-paced melee combat
Guard breaks, dual-wielding, and deathblows
Dynamic PvEvP encounters
Randomized layouts and loot
Seasonal world resets
The Death Jamboree PvP mode
Expanded story and lore set after the catastrophic Earth Rage
The new hub area, Iron Perch, also serves as the base where you prepare for seasonal resets and upgrades.
Grasshopper isn’t involved in the sequel, which is being fully developed by Supertrick Games, the co-developer of the original. The focus has shifted a bit toward PvEvP, so real-time multiplayer will now be part of the experience.
The Steam page has also confirmed that the game uses generative AI for certain in-game voices, textures, illustrations, and even some music. While it’s not entirely clear how heavily AI is involved in each area, these elements—art, video, voice, and music—are pretty major, hinting that AI might play a big role in the overall experience.
