Marvel Rivals is celebrating its first anniversary in style with the launch of a brand-new, large-scale PvP mode. The 18 vs 18 Annihilation Game Mode goes live today, November 27, 2025, as part of the “Rivals’ Day” update, bringing chaotic team battles to a fresh map called Grand Garden.

Gameplay and Features

This new mode pits 36 players against each other in a domination-style showdown. The Grand Garden map is designed for close-quarters combat and massive team fights, blending cosmic visuals with chessboard-inspired layouts under the watchful eye of the Grandmaster. If you’ve ever wanted to see Hulk, Spider-Man, and Scarlet Witch clashing in one giant brawl, this is the place to do it.

One of the most unique aspects of Annihilation is the no hero restriction rule. That means duplicate picks are allowed, so you could see entire squads of Scarlet Witch or even multiple Jeff the Land Sharks.

The mode is available immediately across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, with no downtime required. It went live at 9:00 AM UTC, which translates:
