The ESL Snapdragon Pro Series: Mobile Masters 2025 has become the most-watched esports event of the year after wrapping up in Jakarta last weekend. The tournament drew over 2.7 million peak viewers, setting a new benchmark for esports competitions in 2025.
This major international Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament served as the season finale for the current ESL Snapdragon Pro Series. According to Esports Charts, only a handful of annual events typically reach these impressive viewership numbers, including Indonesia's MPL league, the M World Championship in MLBB, the Mid-Season Invitational, the League of Legends World Championship, and Counter-Strike Majors.
The tournament brought together 12 elite teams from the APAC, LATAM, and EMEA regions, plus a special invitee from China, all competing for a substantial $200,000 prize pool. As the first major international Mobile Legends tournament of 2025, it provided a significant platform for teams to showcase their talents.
Two teams emerged as clear frontrunners throughout the competition. ONIC Philippines and RRQ Hoshi both dominated their respective groups with perfect records and maintained their strong performance into the playoff stage. ONIC Philippines secured their finals spot by defeating Team Falcons PH with a convincing 3-1 score, while RRQ Hoshi matched this achievement by overcoming Team Liquid ID with an identical scoreline.
The grand finals featured what many consider a dream matchup. RRQ Hoshi, widely recognized as Mobile Legends' most popular team, faced off against ONIC Philippines, the reigning M6 World Champions and currently considered the game's strongest squad. In the end, ONIC Philippines claimed the championship with a decisive 4-1 victory.
The tournament reached its peak viewership of 2,769,107 during the final game of the championship series, which also happened to be one of the longest and most intense matches of the entire event.
With these impressive figures, the ESL Snapdragon Pro Series: Mobile Masters 2025 has earned its place among the top 20 most-watched tournaments in esports history. It currently ranks within the top 10 most popular Mobile Legends: Bang Bang events of all time, according to Esports Charts.
