Capcom has officially announced a collaboration between Monster Hunter Wilds and Street Fighter 6, bringing popular fighting game characters to the monster hunting adventure. The crossover content will launch on May 28, 2025.
The collaboration centers around Akuma, the iconic Street Fighter demon warrior, who will be available as free layered armor for hunters. Players can transform their characters into a fierce fighter, complete with special fist-focused combat moves like the Gou Hadoken and Gou Shoryuken.
Alongside Akuma, players will receive a free Blanka-Chan Palico layered armor for their feline companions. This colorful outfit brings the beloved Street Fighter mascot character into the Monster Hunter world, giving players' Palicos a unique new look during their adventures.
Two special quests called "Demonic Strength" and "True Strength" will be available to all players, offering exclusive rewards for completion. Higher-level hunters at Hunter Rank 21 can access an additional quest titled "Ultimate Strength" for even greater challenges and rewards. Players can start this mission by speaking with Quinn at the Oilwell Basin Base Camp.
Beyond the free content, Capcom will also offer paid downloadable content featuring additional Street Fighter characters. The premium DLC includes outfits based on Chun-Li and Cammy, designed specifically for the character Alma. Players can also purchase a Blanka-Chan Doll pendant, new character gestures, and other cosmetic items. As per Capcom's statement, these paid items will be sold separately rather than as a bundled package.
The collaboration trailer showcases Street Fighter-style graphics and narration, suggesting that players might experience special visual effects when playing as Akuma. The promotional material shows Akuma participating in the game's arm-wrestling tournaments and exploring Monster Hunter environments while maintaining his characteristic fierce demeanor.
The Street Fighter collaboration arrives as part of Monster Hunter Wilds' ongoing update 1.011, which will also introduce a tempered monster and various gameplay adjustments alongside the Street Fighter content. Capcom has indicated that additional seasonal events and monsters will be added throughout the summer months.
