A friendly flex between two of the internet’s biggest streamers—Kai Cenat and xQc—has taken a competitive turn, and it’s all thanks to MrBeast. What began as a casual back-and-forth over who has the deeper pockets turned into something bigger when the YouTube giant jumped in with a very MrBeast-style proposal: a live-streamed donation battle.
His plan? Both streamers put their money where their mouth is and donate to TeamWater, a clean water charity. Whoever donates more gets crowned “richest streamer in the room.” It’s part fundraising, part ego check—and fans are eating it up.
MrBeast shared the idea on X (formerly Twitter), saying:
“I remember xQc and KaiCenat you guys talking about who's richer on stream and going band for band. Let’s settle it. Whoever donates the most to TeamWater is officially the richest.”
The internet, of course, ran with it. Not only are viewers hyped about the idea of a donation-driven showdown, but it’s also reignited the long-standing question in the creator world: Who’s actually making the most money?
Kai Cenat: The Twitch King on the Rise
At just 23, Kai Cenat has blown up on Twitch with wild subathons, viral skits, and celebrity appearances that regularly trend across platforms. He’s currently the most-subscribed streamer on Twitch—and not by a small margin.
According to estimates from Benzinga, Kai’s net worth sits around $14 million as of April 2025. He pulls in income from Twitch subscriptions, YouTube ads, merch, and high-profile brand deals.
Recently, he also topped the first-ever TIME100 Creators list, a curated collection of the most influential digital creators in the world right now.
xQc: Veteran Streamer With Big-Name Deals
xQc (Félix Lengyel) isn’t new to the top tier of streaming—and his bank account shows it. Back in 2023, he signed a jaw-dropping non-exclusive deal with Kick, reportedly worth between $70 million and $100 million. That one move shifted him into a different financial bracket altogether.
Forbes placed him at No. 28 on its 2024 Top Creators list, with a net worth of around $36 million, although newer projections in early 2025 bump that figure closer to $50 million. xQc’s revenue spans across Kick, Twitch, YouTube, sponsorships, merch, and even dabbling in crypto and app investments.
So… Who’s Got the Edge?
If we’re going purely by numbers, xQc is comfortably ahead for now. That Kick contract alone makes a huge difference. But Kai’s growth has been explosive, and his fanbase continues to expand fast. Many believe it’s just a matter of time before he starts closing the gap.
Whether or not this charity battle actually happens, it’s already done what MrBeast likely intended—get people talking, raise money for a good cause, and stir up some friendly competition.
