In a surprising—and honestly, pretty wholesome—move, Nexon, the company behind hits like MapleStory and Dungeon & Fighter, is reportedly planning to gift every one of its employees a Nintendo Switch 2 console.
According to Korean esports outlet Inven, Nexon shared the news through an internal memo.
The giveaway will apply specifically to employees at Nexon Korea Corporation and Nexon Networks Corporation.
"We decided to provide Nintendo Switch 2 to all employees in order to reward the hard work of our employees and encourage them to have fun during their leisure time," the memo stated.
But don’t get too excited just yet—those shiny new consoles won’t be landing on desks overnight. With the Switch 2 flying off store shelves since its launch last week, Nexon warned that it might be a while before they can get enough units for everyone.
"It is expected to take a considerable amount of time for the company to secure and distribute the entire quantity required. We cannot give you an exact timing... so we ask for your understanding."
Interestingly, this generous move isn’t just a feel-good perk. It’s actually part of a collective bargaining agreement Nexon made with its labor union—a pretty admirable step toward keeping employee morale high.
And Nexon’s not alone in the console giveaway club. Earlier this year, Stellar Blade developer Shift Up gave all 311 of its employees a PlayStation 5 Pro and a $3,400 (approx.) cash bonus as part of its 2025 year-end rewards.
On the business side, Nexon Games has been performing well too. The company posted strong Q1 2025 results, with revenue up 5% year-over-year and operating income jumping a solid 43%, showing solid momentum despite global headwinds.
