The Gayming Awards 2025 has revealed its nominations, with Dragon Age: The Veilguard securing three nominations across twelve categories.
The awards show, which celebrates LGBTQ+ representation in video games, will be broadcast worldwide on WOW Presents Plus on Tuesday, July 8.
Several other games have also received multiple nominations, including Life is Strange: Double Exposure, Dragon's Dogma 2, The Last of Us Part II Remastered, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Fear the Spotlight, and Caravan SandWitch. Each of these titles earned two nominations in various categories.
The prestigious Game of the Year category features six nominees: Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Dragon's Dogma 2, Fear The Spotlight, Life is Strange: Double Exposure, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, and The Last of Us Part II Remastered.
According to Gayming Magazine, which organizes the awards and reaches over 3 million people monthly, public voting is now open for four of the twelve categories. Fans can cast their votes at gaymingawards.com.
The Gayming Magazine Readers' Award, one of the categories open for public voting, includes nominations for Caravan SandWitch, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Dragon's Dogma 2, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Life is Strange: Double Exposure, and The Last of Us Part II Remastered.
Robin Gray, founder of Gayming Magazine and the Gayming Awards, expressed enthusiasm about this year's nominees: "We have an amazingly diverse roster of nominees for this year's Gayming Awards. From AAA games to impactful LGBTQ+ indie games, there's truly something for everyone to enjoy."
The awards also recognize efforts beyond game development. The Industry Diversity Award acknowledges positive contributions to increasing diversity in the global games industry, with nominations for Blizzard Entertainment, Code Coven, Limit Break, and Rare.
A new category this year, the Community Impact Award sponsored by Fireshine Games, celebrates individuals or community groups who have made significant impacts in supporting LGBTQ+ gamers. Nominees include Boston Gaymers, Charlotte Gaymers Network, NYC Gaymers, QueerVox, Stream for a Cause, and the*gamehers.
The event also honors content creators, with eight LGBTQ+ individuals nominated in that category. Additionally, six TV shows compete for LGBTQ+ Geek Entertainment of the Year, sponsored by MyNerdLife.
