Streaming collective One True King (OTK) has entered into a major new content partnership with the growing livestreaming platform Kick. The agreement, announced on June 12, 2025, will see the two organizations collaborate on a year-long series of premium livestreamed events.

This partnership also marks the official launch of Kick Studios, a new production initiative designed to support high-quality creator-led content.

The first event under this new partnership, titled Project OTK, is set to air live from Austin, Texas—where OTK is based—on Friday, June 13 at 8 PM ET. The stream will be broadcast exclusively on Kick’s platform at kick.com/otk. Several well-known OTK-affiliated streamers are expected to appear during the event, including Esfand, Cyr, Sodapoppin, ExtraEmily, and Asmongold, who recently started streaming on Kick. However, Asmongold’s presence is not part of an exclusive streaming deal.

According to the official press release, these events will feature a mix of live creator roasts, interactive challenges with viewers, and a revamped version of OTK’s Game Day tournament. Kick and OTK aim to produce a total of 10 events over the next 12 months, each tailored to showcase OTK’s signature approach to gaming and lifestyle content.

The announcement comes at a time when OTK has been undergoing major changes and public scrutiny. Asmongold, one of OTK’s founding members, stepped away from the organization earlier this year after facing backlash for controversial remarks about the Gaza conflict. Despite this, his return to the group’s programming—albeit in a non-leadership role—has reignited both interest and criticism within the community.

In a statement about the new partnership, OTK CEO Tips Out emphasized the importance of creative freedom and audience focus:

“In livestreaming, authenticity is king. When Kick explained the vision behind their new studio project, we knew this opportunity was precisely what we had been looking for; an audience-first partner willing to just let OTK be OTK, hair down and all.”

The move is seen as a strategic step for both companies. Kick, which launched in 2022, has quickly gained attention for its creator-friendly revenue model—offering a 95/5 subscriber revenue split—and a rapidly growing user base of 57 million active users. The platform has already paid out $62 million through its Partner Program.

For OTK, this deal could represent an opportunity to steady its course after a turbulent few years marked by internal controversies and staff turnover. The group has faced criticism and negative attention linked to various incidents, such as allegations against past members, mismanagement claims, and polarizing public behavior. In December 2024, OTK even had to lay off several employees across its production and marketing teams. The content-focused collaboration with Kick may signal a push toward brand stabilization and new growth.

However, public reaction to the announcement has been mixed. Some fans on social media are hopeful about the return of popular personalities like Asmongold and the promise of fresh, high-quality events. Others are concerned about Kick’s reputation—especially its links to controversial streamers and its ties to gambling platforms—and question whether the move aligns with OTK’s long-term goals. Criticism has also been directed at the perceived lack of transparency, with several users calling for OTK to address past issues more openly.

ExtraEmily, who will appear in the June 13 event, has also been involved in several recent controversies herself, including accusations over a misheard racial slur and disputes about DMCA takedowns. Meanwhile, other former members like Tectone have publicly criticized the organization’s handling of its internal culture, calling for rebranding and suggesting that the OTK brand has become too associated with conflict and scandal.

Despite the concerns, the collaboration with Kick could offer a clean slate and an opportunity to refocus on content. If successful, the partnership may help redefine how audience-first events are produced and streamed in the gaming space.

Fans can catch the debut event live on Friday, June 13 at 8 PM ET, streaming only at kick.com/otk. OTK has yet to release a detailed roadmap for future shows, but more announcements are expected in the coming weeks.
