Netflix is preparing to remove more than 20 titles from its games library in July 2025. The list includes some fan-favorite and critically acclaimed titles such as Hades, Carmen Sandiego, and the entire Monument Valley trilogy.

This move comes during a turbulent period for Netflix Games, which has been navigating through executive turnover, canceled projects, and previous rounds of removals. While some games have gained traction with users, the broader picture points to a company still figuring out how to position itself in the gaming space.

The scheduled removals are expected to take effect on July 15, with July 14 marked as the final day to play for subscribers. According to What's On Netflix, the “Leaving Soon” tags that began popping up across various games, around 22 titles are affected—roughly 20% of Netflix’s current mobile game lineup.

Here’s the full list of games set to leave:

  • Battleship

  • Braid, Anniversary Edition

  • Carmen Sandiego

  • CoComelon: Play with JJ

  • Death’s Door

  • Diner Out: Merge Cafe

  • Dumb Ways to Die

  • Ghost Detective

  • Hades (iOS only)

  • Katana ZERO

  • LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed

  • Ludo King

  • Monument Valley, Monument Valley 2, Monument Valley 3

  • Rainbow Six: SMOL

  • Raji: An Ancient Epic

  • SpongeBob: Bubble Pop F.U.N.

  • TED Tumblewords

  • The Case of the Golden Idol

  • The Rise of the Golden Idol

  • Vineyard Valley

Several of these games are based on external IPs, which often involve limited-time licensing deals. For instance, Carmen Sandiego only launched in January 2025, while Monument Valley 3 had a major marketing push and was briefly exclusive to Netflix.

This isn’t the first time Netflix has trimmed its catalog. A previous wave of removals occurred in December 2024, and just recently, Poinpy from Devolver Digital was quietly taken down in June 2025.

Alongside these removals, Netflix has also pulled the plug on several in-development games like Crashlands 2, Tales of the Shire, and Don’t Starve Together. Even Netflix Stories, which aimed to bring interactive storytelling to its IPs, was scrapped despite plans for future episodes.

As mentioned by new Netflix Game boss Alain Tascan at GDC 2025, Netflix is now shifting focus toward its big-screen gaming strategy, set to kick off later in 2025. While mobile games will still be part of the platform, they’re expected to arrive at a slower pace and lean more heavily on popular franchises, family-friendly themes, and Netflix-owned properties.

Despite the downsizing, a few new titles are still on the horizon. Games like WWE 2K, Spirit Crossing, and the newly announced Netflix Puzzled (currently in testing) are expected to roll out in the coming months.
