Season 20 officially goes live on December 9, 2025, at 11 AM PT, with preload already available. Check out launch times in your region:

What Overwatch 2 S20 Brings


1. New DPS Hero: Vendetta

The game’s first true melee DPS joins the roster.

Key Gameplay Features

  • Hard-light greatsword with combo strings.

  • Damage-blocking stance that deflects melee hits.

  • High mobility and chase potential.


Weapons

  • Palatine Fang – Combo melees ending in a strong overhead slash

  • Warding Stance – Block damage, deflect melee attacks


Abilities

  • Soaring Slice – Throw sword & dash to it

  • Whirlwind Dash – Circular slash rush

  • Projected Edge – Long horizontal projectile (during Warding Stance)

  • Onslaught (Passive) – Boosts movement & attack speed

  • Sundering Blade (Ultimate) – Massive frontal cleave that breaks defenses

2. Aim Assist Upgrades (Console)

As per Blizzard’s recent developer notes:

  • +6% to +8% aim assist, distance-based

  • Support heroes see biggest improvement

  • Designed to help new/mid-level controller players
