Palworld is getting its first major collab, titled Tides of Terraria, and it's officially set to launch on June 25, 2025. The update marks a collaboration between PocketPair’s own survival hit Palworld and Re-Logic’s legendary crafting adventure Terraria.

This crossover brings new content inspired by Terraria, including monsters you can catch, train, and put to work—just like regular Pals. And while that’s exciting enough on its own, PocketPair has confirmed that this is just the beginning. Following the update, players can also expect additional content like brand-new Pals and fresh islands to explore, with more details being revealed over the coming weeks.

To build excitement, PocketPair released an animated trailer that gives a glimpse into the crossover action. The video shows a character and several Pals venturing through a dungeon to retrieve a glowing sword, teasing potential new enemies and weapons. One particularly spooky moment hints at the shadow of Terraria’s final boss, adding an extra layer of intrigue for longtime fans of the game.

As per a recent Steam blog post, the developers describe Tides of Terraria as “a large update that can be enjoyed by fans of both Palworld and Terraria.” That’s a tall order, especially considering Terraria has sold over 60 million copies globally, making it one of the best-selling games of all time. So naturally, this collaboration has high expectations riding on it.

What’s more, the update doesn’t require you to be familiar with Terraria to enjoy it. While some content is clearly inspired by the side-scrolling classic, the update also includes standalone additions like new Pals and biomes, making it accessible for both new and returning players.

After a massive launch in early 2024, Palworld saw over 90% deep in players on Steam. However, this change back in December, when the Feybreak update sent the game’s concurrent player count soaring past 200,000 for the first time in months. According to SteamDB, the game originally peaked with over 2 million players on Steam, though recent numbers have hovered around 40,000. With Tides of Terraria just around the corner, PocketPair seems ready to reinvigorate its player base once again.
