Rajasthan Launches Major Esports Championship to Engage Over 200 Colleges Across 41 Districts

The Rajasthan State Esports Championship (RSEC)

The Government of Rajasthan has announced its first state-level esports competition that will bring together thousands of young gamers from all over Rajasthan.

The Rajasthan State Esports Championship (RSEC) 2025 is being organized by the government agency, the Rajasthan Youth Board, in partnership with the private player, AA Gaming.

This championship will feature popular video game competitions including Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), CS2, E-Cricket, and E-Football.

The tournament aims to reach more than 200 colleges across 41 districts in Rajasthan, making it one of the biggest state-level esports events in India.

Players will compete through four stages: Open Qualifiers, Inter-College Knockout Rounds, Semifinals, and Grand Finals.

The finals will be shown live online and end with an awards ceremony to honor the winners.

According to Dr. Neeraj Kumar Pawan, Chairman of the Rajasthan Youth Board and Secretary of the Youth Affairs & Sports Department, this championship is an important first step for esports in the state.

"As Rajasthan does not yet have an official esports federation, the Youth Affairs & Sports Department has taken the initiative to support the esports ecosystem by joining hands with passionate youth."

Beyond just esports, education is a key part of this initiative. AA Gaming will organize special workshops during the inter-college rounds to help participants learn valuable skills.

These workshops will cover topics like gaming techniques, game development basics, career opportunities in esports, mental health for players, team-building, professional behavior, and game analysis.

Akash Dhangar, Founder and CEO of AA Gaming, expressed excitement about the partnership with the Rajasthan Youth Board:

"This is a one-of-a-kind initiative that not only empowers youth through competitive esports but also equips them with knowledge and skills to thrive in this fast-growing industry."

This initiative aligns with esports' recent recognition on global stages such as the Olympic Esports Series, Asian Games, and Commonwealth Esports Championship.

AA Gaming, the technical partner for the championship, was founded in October 2021 by Akash Dhangar with backing from Jet Skyesports. The company specializes in organizing esports tournaments and provides comprehensive services including software development, event production, content creation, and talent management.

The exact schedule or format has not been decided yet, but we will inform you once it is announced, so stay tuned.
