Bluepoch Games has announced an exciting crossover between their time-travel RPG Reverse: 1999 and Ubisoft's popular Assassin's Creed franchise, set to launch this August.
The collaboration will be released in two phases, bringing historical settings and characters from the Assassin's Creed universe into the time-bending world of Reverse: 1999.
This marks the first time all Reverse: 1999 servers will host a synchronized global update across iOS, Android, and PC platforms.
Phase One: Enter Ezio Auditore
In the first phase, players will be transported to Renaissance Florence, where none other than Ezio Auditore da Firenze—yes, that Ezio from Assassin’s Creed II—joins the roster as a playable character.
His iconic Assassin abilities will be adapted into the Reverse: 1999 combat system, letting fans see how this legendary killer fares in a turn-based time loop.
Phase Two: Ancient Greece Awaits
Following Florence, the crossover shifts to Ancient Greece, likely featuring fan favorites Alexios or Kassandra from Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
Each phase will offer its own storyline, tailored to fit the unique mechanics and lore of Reverse: 1999.
“This collaboration combines two worlds that both deal with historical time periods in unique ways,” Bluepoch noted.
Reverse: 1999 launched in October 2023 and has since become a global hit with 30 million players and over $100 million in revenue.
Its appeal lies in the unusual blend of theatrical storytelling, full voice acting, and a richly layered plot centered around time manipulation and a mysterious “Storm” that resets the world to 1999.
Now, pairing that with the historically immersive universes of Assassin’s Creed, which has its own deep lore involving memory, simulation, and secret orders, seems like a match made in timeline heaven.
