Indian esports has just hit another milestone. S8UL, one of the country’s most influential gaming organizations, has become the first Indian team to secure four nominations at the prestigious Esports Awards 2025, which will be held in Las Vegas on November 19, 2025.

Often described as the “Oscars of gaming,” the Esports Awards celebrate the best players, creators, and organizations shaping the global esports industry.

This year, S8UL has been nominated in four major categories:

  • Esports Content Group of the Year – S8UL Esports

    • Having already won this award three years in a row (2022, 2023, and 2024), S8UL is once again a frontrunner.

  • Esports Personality of the Year – Animesh Agarwal (8Bit Thug)

    • Agarwal’s leadership has been instrumental in bridging esports, entertainment, and brand partnerships. His vision has helped S8UL grow into one of the most influential organizations in the world.

  • Esports Content Creator of the Year – Raj Varma (Snax)

    • Raj “Snax” Varma, a former esports athlete turned creator, has been nominated for his engaging storytelling and skill-based content. With over 2.15 million YouTube subscribers and 1.1 million Instagram followers, he’s become a household name in Indian gaming.

  • Streamer of the Year – Payal Dhare (PayalGaming)

    • Payal Dhare continues to inspire millions as one of India’s most prominent female gaming personalities. She remains the only Indian woman to win an international gaming award, and her nomination highlights her role in paving the way for more women in esports.

This recognition follows a landmark year for S8UL. The organization represented India at the Esports World Cup 2025 in Riyadh and became the first Indian team selected for the Club Partner Program by the Esports World Cup Foundation. Last year, Naman “Mortal” Mathur also made history by winning Esports Content Creator of the Year, the first time an Indian creator had taken home the award.
