Savvy Games Group has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Esports Federation to strengthen and expand the esports sector in Saudi Arabia. This partnership aims to support the country's Vision 2030 objectives by developing the local gaming ecosystem.
The agreement focuses on creating specialized training programs and raising awareness about esports opportunities throughout the kingdom.
A key component of this collaboration will be providing internship opportunities for graduates from the Saudi Esports Academy, helping them build careers in the growing gaming industry.
The collaboration represents another strategic move in Saudi Arabia's broader efforts to diversify its economy. According to Savvy Games Group, this partnership demonstrates their commitment to "working with key stakeholders in our domestic ecosystem to continue contributing to the delivery of Vision 2030 objectives and help transform the Kingdom into a global games and esports hub."
The Saudi Esports Federation echoed these sentiments, stating that the partnership would include joint efforts to develop various programs and initiatives designed to build a sustainable gaming environment. "This agreement marks an important step toward achieving the goals of Vision 2030 by investing in human capital and establishing an integrated framework for the growth of esports in the Kingdom," the Federation noted.
This development follows Savvy's recent acquisition of Niantic, the developer behind the popular mobile game Pokémon Go.
