ReDimension Games, an emerging indie game studio from Nagaland, is preparing to showcase their latest PC game, Sojourn Past, at the India Gaming Show (IGS) 2025.
The event takes place from February 20-22 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
Sojourn Past gets major backing from KRAFTON, the developer behind PUBG and BGMI, via its India Gaming Incubator (KIGI) program.
This 2D action-adventure game brings together intense combat mechanics with bullet-hell elements, that draw inspiration from beloved indie titles like Hyper Light Drifter, Furi, and Gris.
Players will find themselves immersed in a meticulously crafted fantasy world, where they can master unique abilities such as dagger teleportation and bullet countering.
The game's visual storytelling is enhanced by stunning hand-drawn artwork and complemented by an atmospheric musical score, creating an engaging narrative without relying on traditional storytelling methods.
At the India Game Developers Conference (IGDC) last year, the game was honored with the Upcoming Game of the Year, showcasing its promise in the venture.
According to Anuj Sahani, Head of the KIGI Program and India Publishing Advisor, the incubator's primary goal is to provide indie studios with essential resources and guidance to realize their creative visions. The program has played a crucial role in helping ReDimension Games refine their project and introduce additional features that enhance the overall gameplay experience.
Speaking about the development journey, ReDimension Games Co-founder Pekrukhrietuo Pienyu expressed gratitude for the support received through KIGI. "The mentorship and feedback we received were instrumental in shaping our vision," Pienyu noted, highlighting how the incubator program helped transform their initial concept into a more polished and ambitious project.
As per KRAFTON's announcement, visitors to their booth at IGS 2025 will have the exclusive opportunity to experience Sojourn Past firsthand.
While the exact release date for the full version of the game hasn't been announced, a playable demo version is currently available on Steam.
