Sony Interactive Entertainment Shanghai has officially revealed its game lineup for ChinaJoy 2025, which will take place from August 1 to 4 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.
The upcoming event promises an exciting mix of highly anticipated titles from Chinese developers, many of which are shaping up to be major global contenders.
Among the most talked-about games on Sony's show floor is Black Myth: Wukong from Game Science. Already a hit from last year, the action-RPG continues to turn heads with its visuals and deep combat rooted in Chinese mythology. Sharing the spotlight is Phantom Blade Zero, developed by S-GAME, a dark action RPG often compared to Wukong in terms of scale and ambition.
Other titles include Lost Soul Aside by Ultizero Games, the stylish hack-and-slash that's been in development for several years and is finally nearing release.
Also on display are WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers, a Soulslike from Lenzee and 505 Games launching within hours (check early reviews); EXILEDGE, Unending Dawn, and Tang Legends: Silent Strings, each adding more variety to the lineup with their distinct aesthetics and mechanics.
Several of these projects—such as Retrace the Light and Vanishing Starlight—are backed by lesser-known indie studios like Xiaming Game, Heart Seven, and Gamepoch, proving Sony’s continued support of emerging Chinese talent.
Outside of Sony's booth, the show will feature prominent exhibits like the Korea Game Pavilion (KOCCA). According to the organizers, visitors can expect user testing, business matchmaking, and even collectible souvenirs. Meanwhile, Game Connection x ChinaJoy continues its long-standing partnership by offering global B2B matchmaking services for developers, publishers, and IP holders.
As per ChinaJoy’s official site, this year’s expo is set to host over 743 exhibitors, with 237 international companies from 37 countries, making up nearly 32% of the total participants.
Held annually, ChinaJoy—short for China Digital Entertainment Expo & Conference—is Asia's largest gaming and digital entertainment event. Now in its 22nd year, the event remains a key hub for developers, publishers, e-sports teams, and fans to connect, showcase new IPs, and explore the latest trends in games and interactive tech.
