The game takes players to the mystical island of Suri, a place where music isn’t just entertainment but the very lifeblood of the world.

You step into the shoes of Ajira, a determined young girl racing against time to save her mother from a strange illness. Her only hope lies in finding a magical fruit hidden deep within the island’s heart, but the journey won’t be easy. A dark force has corrupted the island’s melodies, twisting them into something dangerous, and Ajira must learn to master rhythm itself to fight back.

What makes SURI: The Seventh Note stand out is its place in Sony’s India Hero Project, a program designed to spotlight promising developers from the region. Tathvamasi Studios has been working closely with Sony for over a year to bring this vision to life. As CEO and Game Director Glen Martin explained, “We grew up playing on PlayStation consoles and they have a special place in our hearts. We’re excited to bring our own game to consoles that were integral to our childhood.”

The trailer showcases not just Ajira’s journey but also the game’s unique Rhythm Haptics Engine, a system that lets you hear, see, and feel every beat. Thanks to the PS5’s DualSense controller, you’ll sense the difference between a soft melody and a corrupted downbeat, making the experience more immersive than a typical platformer.

For those who want to support the project, you can now wishlist it on both the PlayStation Store and Steam. And watch the trailer below:
