Ujjwal Chaurasia, better known as Techno Gamerz, has officially crossed 50 million subscribers on YouTube.

The New Delhi native now holds the distinction of being the first individual gaming creator from Asia to reach this milestone. His channel has become the most subscribed gaming channel on the entire continent.

What started as a hobby on a borrowed phone has turned into one of the fastest growing success stories in the space. Chaurasia launched his YouTube channel on August 13, 2017, while still studying in Class 11. Back then, he was uploading mobile gaming tutorials using his elder brother Ankit's phone.

Things picked up when one of his early videos gained serious traction. Ankit pushed him to keep posting, and the channel started growing at a steady pace. Ujjwal managed to balance his studies with content creation during those early days. The effort paid off when Techno Gamerz hit its first 100,000 subscribers by January 6, 2019, less than two years after launch.

The growth only accelerated from there. By 2020, the channel had already crossed 10 million subscribers, just three years after going live. Fast forward to March 2025, and Chaurasia hit 45.1 million subscribers, making him India's biggest individual YouTuber across all categories at that time. He surpassed creators in gaming, entertainment, and lifestyle to claim that spot.

Now with 50 million subscribers on his main channel, his total reach is even more impressive. Combined across his four YouTube channels, which include Techno Gamerz, Ujjwal, Ujjwal Shorts, and Techno, he has pulled in over 70 million subscribers. His videos have racked up approximately 16 billion views across all platforms.

Techno Gamerz is probably best known for its GTA V gameplay series. Chaurasia developed his own storylines within the game using mods, and each video in the series has pulled over 5 million views. He has posted more than 140 GTA 5 episodes so far.

Beyond GTA, he has built a massive audience around Minecraft, PUBG Mobile, BGMI, Garena Free Fire, Red Dead Redemption 2, and various horror titles. Some of his most popular uploads include "Grandpa and Granny Two Hunters" with over 10 million views, "Just Draw" with 12 million views, and "BeamNG" with 13 million views.

In 2021, YouTube ranked him fifth on its Top 10 Gaming Streamers list globally. He became the only Indian gaming creator nominated for The Game Awards in 2024, which took place in Los Angeles. SuperGaming even launched a playable in-game character modelled after him, a rare honour for creators in the region.

A major reason for his success has been his commentary style. His Hindi voiceovers mix humor with engaging in game storytelling, making the content super accessible to Indian and South Asian audiences. He keeps a consistent upload schedule, dropping new videos every two to three days on his main channel.

Beyond content, Chaurasia has landed brand partnerships with Red Bull India, Nvidia, and Asus. He is currently managed by OpraahFx, India's influencer marketing agency, and is also a Red Bull India athlete.

His music video "Game On", made with Sez on the Beat, tells his journey from zero to 10 million subscribers and has crossed 62 million views.

In July 2025, he led Team Delhi AI Legends to victory at Samsung's PlayGalaxy Cup Z Fold Edition. They defeated 11 teams across four matches and took home a prize of Rs 2.4 lakh.

He has also served as a jury member for the Exhibit Tech Awards and continues to be recognized as one of India's most significant gaming personalities.
