THQ Nordic hosted its annual digital showcase on August 1, 2025, offering a detailed look at its growing catalog of upcoming titles. From new IPs and sequels to remasters and surprise collector’s editions, the event featured a broad range of genres and development updates.


Here’s a comprehensive breakdown of every major game announcement from the THQ Nordic Digital Showcase 2025:


1. SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide

Launching November 18, 2025, on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2, SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide is the latest 3D platformer from Purple Lamp, continuing the studio’s commitment to high-quality SpongeBob adaptations.


In this ghostly single-player adventure, Bikini Bottom faces chaos after a supernatural clash between King Neptune and the Flying Dutchman. Players alternate between SpongeBob and Patrick—each with unique powers—while exploring iconic locales like Mount Bikini and Neptune’s Palace. It’s built in Unreal Engine 5 and fully voiced by the original cast.

2. Wreckreation

From the creators of Burnout, Wreckreation blends arcade racing with sandbox creativity. The game has no release date yet but is planned for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.


Set in a 400 km² world called MixWorld, players can build racetracks, ramps, and obstacles freely—on land, in the sky, or even at sea. The game features a full customization suite and a built-in radio with 16 stations (including Spotify Premium support).


What makes Wreckreation stand out is its “GameDJ” system, allowing players to create custom game modes and challenges. Plus, you can hop out of your car and build structures in real time.

3. Tides of Tomorrow

A narrative-heavy, first-person adventure by DigixArt (known for Road 96), Tides of Tomorrow releases February 24, 2026, on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.


Set in a flooded, post-apocalyptic ocean world called Elynd, the story revolves around finding a cure for Plastemia, a disease turning life into plastic. It blends asynchronous multiplayer storytelling, allowing players to experience the consequences of others’ choices, even in solo mode.


The world is driven by exploration, resource collection, and moral decision-making. You’ll encounter three major factions and various morally gray NPCs along the way.

4. Wreckfest 2

Already available in Early Access on PC, Wreckfest 2 will eventually launch for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2026. Developed by Bugbear Entertainment, it’s a major upgrade over the original demolition racer.


The physics engine has been rebuilt for deeper, real-time car destruction. Game modes include a revamped career, skill-based multiplayer, split-screen support, and the new “Last Man Standing” survival mode.


Customization plays a big role, and Early Access players can jump in now for $29.99, with major content updates scheduled throughout 2025.

5. Sacred 2 Remaster

Reviving a cult classic, Sacred 2: Fallen Angel Remaster brings the 2008 action RPG to modern systems—PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S—in Q4 2025.


It features remastered visuals, improved combat, and community-requested bug fixes. Players can expect all expansions and updates bundled into one package. PC users will have access to multiplayer, while console versions will remain single-player.


This remaster is significant for long-time fans and a hopeful sign for the future of the Sacred franchise, which hasn’t seen a major entry since 2014.

6. The Eternal Life of Goldman

The Eternal Life of Goldman is a hand-drawn 2D platformer from Weappy Studio, launching in 2025 across PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2. The game features deeply emotional storytelling wrapped in a mythological frame, narrated by a mother recounting a twisted fairy tale to her child.


Players take on the role of Goldman, a mysterious old man on a mission to slay a Deity. The environments—an archipelago filled with secrets—are all uniquely hand-animated. The game also incorporates light Metroidvania elements, exploration, and dynamic upgrades.

7. Titan Quest II

Announced with a surprise Early Access launch on Steam and the Epic Games Store, Titan Quest II brings back the mythological ARPG formula from 2006. Developed by Grimlore Games, the game is set in Ancient Greece, blending action, loot-based progression, and tactical combat.


Players can combine two Masteries to create their class and explore a handcrafted world filled with mythic enemies, gods, and hidden secrets. Early Access pricing is $23.99 through August 8, with a full release planned for late 2026.


Titan Quest II (via THQ Nordic)

8. The Guild – Europa 1410

The Guild – Europa 1410 is a life simulation and dynasty-building game, launching in 2026 for PC. As a spiritual successor to Europa 1400, it brings medieval economics and politics back to the spotlight.


Players start a humble profession—blacksmith, alchemist, merchant, and more—and grow into influential dynasties. Intrigue, bribery, and political maneuvering play major roles. Online multiplayer supports up to 12 players, encouraging both cooperation and sabotage.

9. Gothic Remake

One of the most anticipated projects, Gothic 1 Remake, launches in early 2026 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Alkimia Interactive has rebuilt the entire game using Unreal Engine 5, preserving its original structure but upgrading visuals and combat.


Set in the Kingdom of Myrtana, players control a convict navigating a magical prison colony where three factions battle for control. A demo, titled “Nyras Prologue,” is available now, and a premium Collector’s Edition ($199.99) is also up for pre-order.


Gothic Remake (via THQ Nordic)

10. Gothic Classic Trilogy

Before the remake lands, the original Gothic Classic Trilogy will hit PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and Xbox One in 2026. It’s the first time console players will get access to Gothic 1, 2 (with Night of the Raven expansion), and 3 in a single bundle.


All titles have been enhanced for consoles with updated UI and controls, while preserving their original charm. This package is perfect for long-time fans or newcomers prepping for the remake.


Gothic Classic Trilogy (via THQ Nordic)

11. Reanimal

Developed by Tarsier Studios (of Little Nightmares fame), Reanimal is a cinematic survival horror platformer arriving in Q1 2026 for all major platforms. The game follows siblings navigating a ruined island in search of missing friends, facing mutated horrors, and solving environmental puzzles.


It draws inspiration from It Takes Two and Silent Hill 2, featuring a shared dynamic camera and interpretive storytelling. Co-op, local, and online are fully supported.


Reanimal (via THQ Nordic)

Reanimal Collector’s Edition is launching December 31, 2026, offers a premium experience for fans. It includes:

  • PVC pig and bucket statues

  • Pre-order DLC and season pass

  • Artbook, sticker set, map poster

  • Keychain and exclusive collector’s box


Priced at $199.99, it’s available for pre-order on Amazon and other major retailers.


12. Fatekeeper

Coming to Steam Early Access this winter, Fatekeeper is a first-person fantasy action RPG from Paraglacial, a new studio by former SpellForce 3 developers.


It blends tactical melee, magic, and environmental storytelling in a handcrafted world. Players can build unique playstyles across swordplay, stealth, and spellcasting. It’s being touted as a promising alternative while fans await Elder Scrolls VI.


It’s set to enter Steam Early Access in Winter 2025, with console versions expected later.


Fatekeeper (via THQ Nordic)

13. Darksiders 4

The long-rumored Darksiders 4 is finally official. Developed by Gunfire Games, it will be the first game in the series to feature all Four Horsemen—War, Death, Fury, and Strife—as playable characters. Each has their own playstyle and weaponry.


The game supports solo and co-op play (2–4 players), with exploration, combat, and puzzle-solving at its core.


Platforms include PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, though a release date remains unconfirmed.
