Saudi Arabia’s Twisted Minds have claimed the PUBG: Battlegrounds championship at the Esports World Cup 2025, bringing home the Kingdom’s third title in the ongoing global tournament.
The team secured first place in Riyadh with a prize of $661,000 along with 1,000 club points.
The finals took place at the STC Arena, with Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan, Chairman of the Saudi Esports Federation, present for the crowning moment.
Tournament Standings and Prize Breakdown
Twisted Minds finished ahead of some of the biggest names in the scene. South Korea’s Gen.G Esports claimed second place, taking home $302,000 and 750 points, while another Saudi team, Team Falcons, finished third with $208,000 and 500 points. Vietnam’s The Expendables rounded out the top four with $141,000 and 300 points.
The event featured a massive $2 million prize pool, spread across 24 teams from around the globe. Interestingly, Twisted Minds’ win accounted for nearly one-third of the entire pool — one of the largest single-team payouts for PUBG in the competition’s history.

Finale Showdown
It was a tense battle right until the final game. The team accumulated 93 points in the Grand Finals, finishing just seven points ahead of Gen.G (86 points). What gave them the edge were three chicken dinners (Games 4, 7, and 11), each combined with high kill counts that pushed them back into the lead after tough rounds.
The victory also boosts Twisted Minds’ PGS ranking points (340) and significantly improves their EWC club championship standing.
Viewership
According to data from Esports Charts, the PUBG finals attracted a peak viewership of 258,876, nearly doubling the average from last year’s edition. Day 2 of the Grand Finals, particularly Round 11, where Twisted Minds scored their clutch chicken dinner, drew the highest audience engagement.
