Ubisoft Teases More Games for Nintendo Switch 2

Ubisoft may be ramping up its support for the Nintendo Switch 2, hinting at plans to bring Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Rainbow Six Siege to the upcoming console. These titles could join the already-confirmed Star Wars Outlaws, which is set to release on September 4, 2025.

Ubisoft Brazil Sparks Speculation

The buzz began when Ubisoft Brazil posted an image on social media asking fans which games they’d like to see on the Switch 2. The post featured a lineup including Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Rainbow Six Siege, Star Wars Outlaws, and Assassin’s Creed Shadows—the latter of which was recently rated for Nintendo’s new hardware.

While not an official announcement, the inclusion of unconfirmed titles alongside known releases has fueled strong speculation.

A Closer Look at the Potential Ports

  • Assassin’s Creed Mirage: Originally released in 2023, Mirage returned to the stealth-based roots of the franchise, scaling back RPG elements in favor of classic parkour, assassination, and narrative-driven gameplay. A Switch 2 port would mark its debut on a Nintendo platform.

  • Rainbow Six Siege / Rainbow Six Siege X: The tactical shooter has been a staple since 2015, and is poised to evolve into Rainbow Six Siege X in June 2025. The update introduces free-to-play access, enhanced visuals, and a new 6v6 Dual Front mode—features that would align well with a Switch 2 port, even though nothing has been formally confirmed.

Ubisoft’s History with Nintendo

Ubisoft has a long history of supporting Nintendo hardware—often from day one. From the Wii to 3DS, Wii U, and Switch, the publisher has consistently delivered major titles, spin-offs, and platform-specific surprises. Earlier this year, they declared they were “in love” with the Switch 2, hinting at a robust development slate.

Ubisoft is rumored to have “more than half a dozen” projects in the works for Switch 2. If Mirage and Siege X are among them, fans can expect a diverse lineup of open-world adventures and competitive multiplayer experiences.

The Nintendo Switch 2 launches on June 5, 2025, with a first-party lineup including Mario Kart WorldNintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour, and Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut. Ubisoft won’t be present on launch day, but Star Wars Outlaws will arrive later in the year as one of the biggest third-party titles for the system.
