Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 Faces Another Delay

Vampire The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2

Paradox Interactive has pushed back the release of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 once again. Originally planned for the first half of 2025, the action RPG, developed by The Chinese Room, is now set to launch in October 2025.

In a statement, Paradox explained that the delay is all about making sure players get the best experience possible. “Paradox Interactive and The Chinese Room are committed to delivering this game, and we believe that ensuring great technical quality is more important than sticking to a specific date,” the company said.

Right now, the game is in its "final development stages," with player feedback being carefully considered. The Chinese Room is working hard on "quality assurance" to smooth out any bugs and ensure a polished launch.

Paradox made it clear that Bloodlines 2 will only release once it meets the high technical standards that fans expect. While they haven't given a specific release date yet, they assured players that more details will be shared as the launch gets closer.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 was first announced on March 21, 2019, as a sequel to the 2004 cult classic. Since then, its development has been a rollercoaster, with multiple delays.

Originally slated for March 2020, the game was first pushed to late 2020 to avoid a rushed launch. Further setbacks followed in 2021 due to leadership changes, including the departure of key figures like Brian Mitsoda. In early 2021, Paradox removed Hardsuit Labs from the project and delayed the game indefinitely, even halting preorders.

After The Chinese Room took over, it was rescheduled for Fall 2024, only to be postponed again to early 2025, and now to October 2025.

The repeated delays highlight Paradox’s broader development struggles, which have led to multiple project cancellations and setbacks. Other Paradox games facing issues include:

  • Life by You – Canceled after months of uncertainty.

  • Prison Architect 2 – Indefinitely delayed.

  • Cities: Skylines 2 – Launched with major performance problems, with its console release still in limbo due to hardware challenges.

Despite the setbacks, Paradox is determined to get Bloodlines 2 right. If all goes according to plan, fans can finally sink their teeth into the game in October 2025.
