Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will officially launch on October 21, 2025, with multiple digital and physical editions confirmed.
The announcement came during Gamescom Opening Night Live, where Paradox Interactive, White Wolf, and developer The Chinese Room shared fresh details about the long-awaited RPG.
One of the biggest reveals was the introduction of Fabien, a Malkavian detective who will serve as a playable character alongside Elder vampire Phyre. This means players won’t just experience modern Seattle through Phyre’s eyes but will also dive into Fabien’s fragmented mind in a neo-noir murder mystery that connects to the city’s supernatural politics.
Pre-Orders and Bonuses
Players can now pre-order the game across Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
The standard edition is priced at $59.99/£49.99/€59.99, and all pre-orders come with the Bloodlines Nostalgia Jukebox, a Haven décor item that lets you enjoy a playlist curated by composer Rik Schaffer, the same artist behind the original Bloodlines soundtrack. It’s a neat nod to longtime fans who have been waiting two decades for this sequel.
Editions Breakdown
To give players more options, Paradox and The Chinese Room also unveiled two premium digital editions:
Deluxe Edition ($69.99/£58.50/€69.99)
Comes with Santa Monica Memories, a cosmetic pack featuring decorations inspired by the original 2004 cult classic.
Can also be purchased separately for $11.99.
Premium Edition ($89.99/£74.99/€89.99)
Includes everything from the Deluxe Edition plus Shadows & Silk, an add-on that unlocks the Lasombra and Toreador clans for Phyre.
These clans bring unique playstyles, outfits, and powers.
The add-on will also be sold separately for $21.99.
Physical editions, created in partnership with PLAION, will be available at select retailers, though details about special packaging or collector’s items haven’t been shared yet.
Dual Narrative
A major focus of Bloodlines 2 is its dual-character storytelling. As Phyre, an Elder vampire waking up in modern Seattle after centuries of torpor, players will navigate tense political dynamics, encounter Seattle’s ruling Kindred, and slowly reclaim lost abilities.
Between Phyre’s nights, players will shift to Fabien’s storyline. Here, the perspective changes to 1920s Seattle, where Fabien investigates his own murder. His Malkavian heritage means he sees the world in a distorted way, making the detective work both intriguing and unpredictable.
The Core Experience
Bloodlines 2 follows in the footsteps of its predecessor by letting players choose between vampire clans, each with different Disciplines and playstyles. The base game includes Brujah, Tremere, Banu Haqim, and Ventrue. From raw strength to blood sorcery and political persuasion, each clan offers a different path through Seattle’s dark streets.
Players will need to balance combat, exploration, and feeding on mortals while upholding the Masquerade, the core law of secrecy that protects vampire society from exposure. Breaking it could bring deadly consequences, adding extra tension to every choice.
The original Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines (2004) became a cult hit despite its rocky launch, remembered for its strong role-playing depth and immersive world. Bloodlines 2 aims to build on that legacy with modern gameplay and a richer narrative structure.
