Vasista Esports has officially claimed victory at the iQOO Neo 10 Skyesports Championship 2025, one of India’s biggest Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) events.
The Grand Finals, held from May 15 to 18, saw Vasista rise above 15 of the country’s top teams to secure the title—and it wasn’t an easy road.
Their start? Rough. On Day 1’s Sky Surge round, the team finished 14th and walked away with zero bonus points. But instead of folding under pressure, they bounced back hard over the next three days with a stellar comeback.
In the end, Vasista Esports racked up 169 points, comfortably beating second-place Autobotz Esports by 32 points.
This year’s tournament featured a brand-new "Sky Champ" format, where teams had to reach 125 points and win a Chicken Dinner to clinch the championship. Since no team hit both marks, Vasista came out on top by overall points across all 18 matches.
After the win, team leader Sohail ‘Hector’ Shaikh got emotional. “A lot of people doubted me. I finally got the opportunity to prove myself,” he said. Looking ahead, Hector made it clear—BMPS 2025 is their next target.
The Skyesports Championship is India’s longest-running homegrown esports event. This year, it attracted hundreds of teams through open qualifiers and offered a prize pool of ₹17.5 lakh.
Audience interest was off the charts, with 70 million total views—split between 30 million live and 40 million on-demand—and a peak concurrent viewership of over 100,000.
Skyesports CEO Shiva Nandy praised Vasista's resilience and said the tournament showcased the rising potential of India’s esports industry.
The final leaderboard was stacked. Autobotz Esports took second place with 137 points, followed by Learn From Past (135), Wyld Fangs (125), and fan-favorites Soul in fifth with 114. Below is the full last day standing for you to analyze:

On the player front, VE Fury and VE ScaryyJod were absolute monsters for Vasista. Each racked up 30 eliminations and averaged 1.67 finishes per match, together contributing almost 32% of the team’s total eliminations. That’s some serious synergy.
Other standout players included LEFP SahilDPAF (29 kills), WF TraceGod (28), and RIE JatinOG from Rising Inferno Esports, who carried his squad with over 54% of their total eliminations—now that’s clutch.

The tournament delivered plenty of edge-of-the-seat moments. Teams like Wyld Fangs, Team iQOOSoul, Blitz Esports, and RivalryXNRI rounded out the top eight, while 4Merical Esports and Money Makerz followed close behind.
