White Wolf Returns as the Official Publisher and Licensor of World of Darkness

Vampire: The Masquerade

World of Darkness is officially bringing back its legendary name—White Wolf—and stepping into a fresh role as the go-to licensing and publishing hub for all things transmedia.

From Vampire: The Masquerade to Werewolf: The Apocalypse, White Wolf is now steering the future of its iconic gothic-punk universe across video games, tabletop RPGs, streaming, and more.

One of the biggest moves? White Wolf will co-publish Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 alongside Paradox Interactive, with the long-awaited sequel set to finally launch in October 2025.

The studio is also pulling tabletop RPG development back in-house, which means tighter control, faster turnaround, and (hopefully) a clearer vision across the board.

“The Wolf is back, baby!” said Marco Behrmann, EVP of World of Darkness at Paradox. “Bringing White Wolf back as an independent entity lets us move more quickly, develop with clearer long-term vision, and better collaborate with fans and partners.”

White Wolf still operates under Paradox Interactive—which bought the brand from CCP Games in 2015—but now functions more independently. This gives it the freedom to work directly with partners while still tapping into Paradox’s resources and global reach.

All eyes are on the October 2025 launch of Bloodlines 2, which will be the first major test of this revamped strategy. If things go well, it could open the door to bigger, bolder cross-media projects across games, shows, and beyond.
