WWE 2K25 is officially out on Nintendo Switch 2 as of July 23, marking the franchise’s return to Nintendo consoles after a seven-year gap since WWE 2K18. While this is a major comeback for the series on Nintendo hardware, the launch hasn’t arrived without a few caveats — namely, the complete absence of the fan-favorite Community Creations feature.

Despite including the new Island mode—something even PC players don’t get—WWE 2K25 on Switch 2 lacks the ability to upload, download, or share custom content such as arenas, CAWs (Create-A-Wrestler), and other user-generated assets.

This limitation has been confirmed on the game’s official FAQ page, where 2K notes that Switch 2 users “won’t be able to upload or view custom images from other platforms” and that they “will not see Image Uploader-based Community Creations from any platform or be able to upload their own.”

Meanwhile, the feature remains fully functional on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC, leaving Switch 2 players noticeably behind. For a series where player-created content plays such a huge role in keeping the experience fresh, this omission feels like a step backward—especially given that even WWE 2K18 on the original Switch did support community creations.

The fan response has been swift and frustrated. “Ended up going to Nintendo support to get a refund,” shared one player on Reddit. Others questioned whether the restriction was really necessary. “I really wish Nintendo would tell us their target audience,” one user commented. “You have parental controls for a reason—stop hindering grown adults’ fun.”

Nintendo has recently updated its eShop policies to crack down on low-quality content, which might explain the cautious approach. However, as it stands, Switch 2 players will have to make do without one of the most engaging aspects of the WWE 2K experience.
