Xbox Game Pass Adds Metaphor ReFantazio, Monster Train 2, and More for Late May

Microsoft has revealed the next wave of Xbox Game Pass titles for the end of May and early June 2025. This update features several day-one launches, narrative-rich indies, and some cult favorites making their way to the cloud. Standouts include Metaphor ReFantazio, Monster Train 2, and To a T — a heartfelt oddity from Katamari Damacy creator Keita Takahashi.

Xbox Cloud Gaming Gets 15 Classic Titles on May 23

Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will see a significant boost to Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) on May 23, with 15 games joining the service. Many come from Double Fine, now a Microsoft-owned studio, and include several genre-defining adventure games.

Coming to Xbox Cloud Gaming:

  • Brütal Legend

  • Costume Quest 2

  • Day of the Tentacle Remastered

  • Full Throttle Remastered

  • Grim Fandango Remastered

  • Max: The Curse of Brotherhood

  • Neon Abyss

  • Quantum Break

  • Rare Replay

  • ScreamRide

  • State of Decay: Year-One

  • SteamWorld Dig 2

  • Sunset Overdrive

  • Super Lucky’s Tale

  • Zoo Tycoon: Ultimate Animal Collection


These games will be fully playable through cloud streaming, including on mobile devices via the Xbox app.


Leaving Game Pass on May 31

The following titles will leave Xbox Game Pass at the end of the month. Members can purchase them at a 20 percent discount before they exit the service:

  • Cassette Beasts

  • Firework

  • Humanity

  • Remnant 2

  • Slayers X: Terminal Aftermath: Vengeance of the Slayer


Note: While Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 appeared in promotional images for this batch, Microsoft has confirmed it is not coming to Game Pass at this time.
