Key Highlights

Sandustry is a 2D pixel-based factory automation and mining sim from Lantoo Games, published by Hooded Horse, now joining Game Pass Premium alongside its existing Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass availability. Originally launched in Early Access on PC in August 2026 as a day-one Game Pass title, it sets itself apart from other factory builders through a full pixel-level physics engine where every grain of sand, drop of water, and nugget of ore has individual physical properties and chemical reactions. You dig through fully destructible procedural worlds, build production chains with conveyors, filters, pipes, and drones, and uncover the secrets of an ancient civilization buried deep underground. It has been overwhelmingly positive on Steam since launch, with a high 90s approval rating and over 100,000 copies sold.

Dodo Duckie is a charming 2D and 3D perspective-shifting puzzle platformer from BornMonkie, published by Solo Game. You play as Dodo the duckling, who uses a magical cap from a capybara named Capie to instantly flip between side-scrolling 2D and full 3D views, revealing hidden paths and solving puzzles across quirky alien planets while rescuing kidnapped chicken friends. The mechanic draws clear inspiration from Fez and Paper Mario. It launched in July 2026 to a generally favorable reception with a Metacritic score around 81, with praise for the seamless perspective gimmick, adorable art, and approachable challenge. A fun and family-friendly indie platformer.

Scramble Knights Online is an MMO-lite multiplayer action RPG from Funktronic Labs, arriving in Early Access on October 26 as a day-one Game Pass title. Originally conceived as a battle royale before pivoting to a cooperative PvE focus, it sets players loose in the shared online kingdom of Terracott as knights-in-training, taking on Zelda-inspired quests solo or with up to four friends, diving into dungeons, fighting monsters, looting, and crafting gear between runs. Optional faction PvP adds a competitive layer for those who want it. Demo and beta feedback praised the quest loop, co-op, and addictive progression ahead of launch.

The Seance of Blake Manor is a first-person supernatural detective mystery from Spooky Doorway, published by Raw Fury, originally released on PC in late 2025. Set in 1897 Ireland, you play as investigator Declan Ward spending a timed weekend at a remote hotel to uncover the disappearance of a young woman named Evelyn Deane. You explore the manor, follow guests on their daily schedules, eavesdrop, search rooms, and piece together clues rooted in Irish folklore and spiritualism, all rendered in a distinctive comic-book art style. It holds a Metacritic score of 89 and an OpenCritic score of 91, and is widely considered one of the best mystery games released in 2025. If you enjoy narrative-driven detective adventures, this one is not to be missed.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is Square Enix’s acclaimed action RPG retelling of the Midgar section of the original Final Fantasy VII, now arriving on Xbox Game Pass on October 29. The Intergrade edition includes the full Remake experience alongside the Episode Intermission chapter starring Yuffie Kisaragi, both running on enhanced visuals and performance. The hybrid combat system blends real-time action with strategic ATB command inputs across Cloud, Tifa, Barret, and Aerith, and the game dramatically expands on the original’s Midgar arc with new story elements and characters. It holds a Metacritic score around 89 and is the entry point for the ongoing Remake trilogy ahead of Rebirth and the upcoming Revelation. For anyone who has not played it yet, Game Pass is a perfect opportunity to start.

Mouthwashing is a short first-person psychological horror narrative adventure from Wrong Organ, published by Critical Reflex, arriving on Xbox Game Pass on October 29 alongside its console ports. Set on the crashed space freighter Tulpar, it follows a doomed crew unraveling across a nonlinear story built around starvation, isolation, paranoia, and deeply uncomfortable questions about responsibility and failure. The experience runs around three hours and features minimal traditional gameplay, leaning instead into surreal sequences, environmental puzzles, and an unreliable narrative structure delivered through a distinctive low-fi aesthetic. It originally launched on PC in September 2024 to a Metacritic score of 88 and overwhelmingly positive Steam reviews, and has since been recognized as one of the standout indie horror experiences of that year.

Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted is the remaster of PopCap’s beloved 2009 lane-based tower defense classic, developed by PopCap Games and The Lost Pixels and published by Electronic Arts. It brings the full original campaign into HD alongside new modes including Cloudy Day, a Rest In Peace permadeath mode, co-op and PvP options, and additional minigames. The timeless core loop of planting sun-generating and offensive plants against increasingly chaotic waves of zombies remains entirely intact. It launched in late 2025 to a mixed to generally favorable reception with a Metacritic score around 73 to 76. Critics praised the core gameplay as still holding up well, while some noted reservations about certain art and soundtrack changes from the original.

Terrible Lizards is a first-person horror parkour game from WDR Studios, founded by the team behind JT Music, arriving on October 29 as a day-one Game Pass title and the studio’s debut release. Stranded at an abandoned 1992 Route 66 roadside dinosaur attraction in New Mexico, you have no weapons. Survival comes entirely through running, jumping, climbing, wall-running, and sliding to outmaneuver mutated dinosaurs and other threats across the park’s above and below-ground areas. Environmental storytelling through tapes and notes fills in the history of Dalton’s Dinos. Demo coverage has been positive on the fluid movement, tense chase sequences, and atmosphere, drawing comparisons to Five Nights at Freddy’s in terms of premise and tension.

Pit of Goblin is a chaotic co-op horror extraction game from Friendly Foe, published alongside Bright Gambit, arriving on November 3 as its full 1.0 console launch. You play as a scrappy goblin scavenging dungeons, dodging traps, fighting or fleeing monsters, and looting to satisfy the demands of the Goblin King-Queen. The 1.0 release expands co-op from four to six players, adds new biomes and features, and brings full console crossplay. It spent time in Early Access on PC building a strong following, sitting at around 84% positive on Steam from nearly 1,000 reviews and selling over 200,000 copies. The team behind it has roots in Landfall and Stunlock Studios, and the chaotic co-op loop has consistently been praised for its humor and tension.

Leaving November 10

  • Football Manager 26 (PC)

  • Football Manager 26, Console Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC)

The most significant October 31 departures are Deep Rock Galactic and Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Deep Rock Galactic is one of the most beloved co-op shooters ever made, holding a Metacritic score of 85 and a 97% positive Steam rating from hundreds of thousands of reviews. Its procedurally generated cave missions, four distinct dwarf classes, and exceptional team synergy have kept it thriving for years. If you have never played it, the next ten days are the reason to start.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is similarly hard to replace as a comprehensive and charming romp through all nine films, holding a Metacritic score around 82 and selling millions of copies on release. Wartales is also worth finishing before it goes, a deep open-world tactical RPG with strong emergent storytelling and turn-based combat that has built a loyal following since launch.

The two Double Fine LucasArts remasters leaving on October 31 are also worth noting. Day of the Tentacle Remastered holds a 97% positive Steam rating and a Metacritic score of 86, and is widely regarded as one of the funniest and most inventive point-and-click adventure games ever made. Grim Fandango Remastered is a similarly beloved classic with a unique Day of the Dead noir aesthetic and some of the best writing in adventure game history. Both are short enough to finish in a single sitting, and both are genuinely worth your time before they leave.
