Already available on PC and Nintendo Switch, the game will now reach a much wider audience, and this time it’s bringing along expanded language support with Brazilian Portuguese, French, and Korean localization.

Developed by Sunset Visitor and published by Fellow Traveller, 1000xRESIST first turned heads in 2024 with its bold storytelling and unique presentation. Set a thousand years in the future, the game casts you as Iris, a Watcher tasked with preserving the memories of the ALLMOTHER, the leader of humanity’s underground survivors. The world above has been devastated by the arrival of the Occupants, an alien race whose presence brought a deadly disease that nearly wiped out humankind.

As Iris, you’re not just a passive observer. You’re one of six “Sisters,” each with a defined role in this fragile society. But when one Sister dares to expose the ALLMOTHER’s secrets and pays the ultimate price, Iris is forced to question everything she’s been taught. That’s where the game’s central conflict begins — do you obey, or do you resist?

The narrative has been praised for its depth and emotional weight. The game’s Peabody Award win and Hugo and Nebula nominations recognise how far video game storytelling has come. With over 10 hours of fully voiced dialogue and a hauntingly beautiful soundtrack, 1000xRESIST has been described as one of the most memorable narrative-driven experiences of recent years.

1000xRESIST is currently available on Nintendo Switch, Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store, but starting November 4, it’ll also be part of the Xbox Game Pass library and available digitally on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. If you’re into story-rich adventures that challenge what you think you know, this is one you’ll want to keep on your radar.
